Group & Corporate Events.

Why Groups Love This

Cooking together breaks the ice in a way nothing else does. These sessions are designed to be fun first — a chance for small groups to chop, stir, season, taste, and laugh their way through a colorful meal. Even when the space isn’t set up for perfect task separation, everyone still gets their hands in the mix and learns something they can use at home that night.

What This Looks Like

We work as a team. Some people chop while others sauté; tasks rotate, and everyone gets a turn at the stove. I guide the group through simple, colorful techniques that work in any kitchen, keeping things light, approachable, and practical. It’s less about perfect stations and more about shared discovery — the kind of session where people say, “I didn’t know cooking together could be this much fun.”

Why Companies Bring This In

Employees want clear, practical guidance — not another lecture about what they “should” be eating. These sessions are designed to teach real‑world skills that make healthy eating feel doable during busy workweeks. Companies love them because they’re engaging, interactive, and grounded in everyday choices: what to pack for lunch, how to build a colorful plate, and how to make sense of the foods we reach for without overthinking it.

What This Looks Like

This is a teaching‑style session held right in your workplace. I bring a small demo table to show the difference between color groups, demonstrate simple knife skills, and walk through practical concepts like ancient grains, “not your father’s Cheerios,” whether starch is really the enemy, and how colorful nutrients support energy and focus.

Sessions typically run 60–90 minutes and include handouts, visuals, and take‑home strategies employees can use immediately. There’s plenty of Q&A, and participants can follow up afterward if they want one‑on‑one coaching or a hands‑on cooking session.

Why Communities Love This

There’s something special about gathering around a live cooking demonstration — the aroma, the sizzle, the color, the shared curiosity. These events bring people together in a way that feels relaxed, social, and instantly engaging. Even without hands‑on cooking, attendees walk away with a clearer understanding of how to do things in their own kitchens, and the confidence to try something new that night.

What This Looks Like

We meet in a community kitchen, HOA clubhouse, or demonstration space — anywhere people can gather comfortably. I walk the group through one colorful dish from start to finish, explaining the “why” behind each step while the room fills with the smell of what’s cooking. There’s plenty of discussion, lots of questions, and a tasting at the end so everyone can experience the final dish.

Attendees can take home the recipe, a handout on colorful eating, or a brief on the nutritional value of the ingredients we used. Groups typically range from 15–20 people — big enough for energy, small enough for connection. And often, these sessions spark interest in deeper learning, which is where my structured classroom offerings come in.

It’s fun, lively, and one of my favorite ways to teach, cook, and watch a whole room share that “ahhhh” moment together.
